Felicia Garrett

Director of Development

Felicia brings an unrelenting commitment to the idea of strong relationships being the answer to most of the issues we face as a society, Felicia has dedicated almost 30 years of service to bringing education, understanding and the importance of hands-on application to relationship-building in her roles both personally and professionally. She has held director level positions in the non-profit sector for Just As I Am Ministries Inc, Relationships First, The Urban League of Greater Dallas and Open Door Consulting Foundation, a nonprofit organization with a mission to build, cultivate and maintain relationships, one person/seed at a time she founded 20 plus years ago. 
 
Felicia served in the United States Air Force Reserves as a Morale, Welfare and Recreation SrA. Although she holds many accolades and a few titles she identifies most with being a servant to the mission to see change in the immediate world she lives and is not afraid to get out and be hands on in the change. She has a heart for all people with a belief that our differences are what make us unique and when used in collaboration has the power to impact the world in a positive way for all who live in it. Her desire is to facilitate a journey of restoration among all generations, cultures, races, social-economic statuses by being a bridge to those needing guidance, reconciliation and hope.

Adriana Adams

Staff Attorney Partner, Immigration and Family

Adriana joined Greater Waco Legal Services in 2022. She serves as an immigration attorney and works closely with the Waco immigrant community by assisting clients in applying for permanent residency, citizenship, DACA renewals and more. Adriana graduated from Baylor University in 2016 & Baylor Law school in 2020. After graduation, she opened her own legal practice with a focus on serving lower income families in the Waco community.

Rachel Dove

Staff Attorney Partner

Rachel joined Greater Waco Legal Services in 2017 and serves the community as a Family Staff Attorney Partner. She handles primarily family law cases such as divorce, and child support. She focuses much of her time on cases where child custody is in dispute. Rachel graduated from Baylor in 2009 and Baylor Law School in 2012. After graduation, she opened her own legal practice with a focus on family law issues and volunteered at GWLS' Legal Advice Clinics!

Teresa Garcia

Client Services Partner

Teresa is the Client Services Partner at Greater Waco Legal Services. She works closely with all of our clients, ensuring needs and services are met and provided. She coordinates our Legal Advice Clinics to provide free legal advice to the community. As a Waco native, she takes great pride in serving her community. Teresa is currently working on her Business Administration and Accounting degree. She is also working on her certification to become a Commissioned Lay Pastor, through her denomination.

Kent McKeever

Founder & Managing Attorney Partner

Kent founded Greater Waco Legal Services in 2017 with a passion for providing folks in Waco-McLennan County and surrounding areas access to the justice system through affordable legal representation, advice and resources. Kent serves as the Managing Attorney Partner & works with clients on cases involving immigration, wills, probate, & property. Kent graduated from Baylor University in 2001 & Princeton Theological Seminary in 2004. After serving as the Executive Director & Pastor of a non-profit ministry, Kent saw the need for legal advocacy on many levels & attended Vanderbilt Law School (J.D., 2012).

Jessica Trevino

Staff Attorney, Medical-Legal Partnership

Jessica joined Greater Waco Legal Services in 2022. She serves as the Medical Legal Partnership Staff Attorney, meeting with clients referred from Waco Family Medicine. She handles cases involving family matters, estate planning and landlord/tenant issues. Jessica graduated from Rice University in 2013 and Northeastern University School of Law in 2019. After graduation she worked in human-subject research compliance and was a volunteer attorney with legal aid.

Kayla Mize

Medical-Legal Partnership Coordinator

Kayla is the MLP Coordinator, a position shared by Waco Family Medicine & GWLS. She serves as a bridge between the organizations, providing support to clinicians, attorneys, and other staff to ensure that patients’ health-harming legal needs are identified & met. Kayla graduated from Baylor University with her Bachelor's in Social Work in 2012 & her Master's in Social Work in 2014. She managed the Baylor undergraduate social work program until 2021, then became the Heart of Texas Regional Director with the Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty.
