The Justice Gap is the difference between the civil legal needs of low-income Americans and the resources available to meet those needs. In the Greater Waco area, the Justice Gap includes the 44% of McLennan County households who in 2016 were either in poverty or one emergency away from falling into it, according to a new study by the United Ways of Texas. And there are many more individuals and households who cannot afford to pay for a private attorney or do not qualify for free legal aid. The demand for our work is high. Help us meet this demand and close this Justice gap, so we can ensure everyone in our community receives equal access to justice.

Anything a law office could use!
The justice system is all too often closed off from those without wealth or power. However, with your help, together we can share the good news of worth, dignity, love and justice with a world in need! Providing the unemployed, the homeless, the abused, the marginalized stranger – the “least of these” – access to a legal advocate who will listen compassionately, represent their rights zealously, and fervently seek justice and love with them, for them, and among them is what we do. Thank you for partnering with us for Love and Justice as together we Close the Gap!
Your generosity empowers GWLS to strategically provide affordable legal services so that the historically under-served in our community can grow healthier, more educated, and more financially secure.
